Glove is in the Air!

Glove is in the air!
A "small" personal project using Cinema 4D, Maya, Marvelous Designer and Redshift.
Here's the animated video with cloth and fire simulations:
Here's also a little breakdown video:
Workflow
Sewing + Texturing
It all started when I decided to learn how to sew gloves in Marvelous. I really like 3D sewing, and gloves are quite a difficult element to create. So, I decided to try it.
First version of glove
I chose the fantasy style for the glove because I am a fan of this genre and am attracted to things like LOTR, The Witcher and Warcraft.
So I moved in this direction when creating textures.
Result of texturing in Adobe Substance Painter
While creating the textures, I wanted to show that this glove was sewn a long time ago and has gone through many adventures. That's why you may notice scratches, cracks, stains on the surface of the glove.

I faced some difficulties when choosing colors. However, I remembered a scene from the movie "Iron Man" where the hero was faced with a similar task, and I decided to do it in the same way)))
Animation + Cloth Simulation
I could stop here, render a couple of stillshots and publish them, as many 3D artists do. But I like to give life to what I create, watch how it begins to move and do something.
First I made a rig for the hand. I used Maya because it is the most convenient software for this in my opinion.
I filmed my hand moving as a reference and used that as a guide to animate the hand
This animation was inspired by card tricks. I love that they combine grace and energy. It looks truly magical.
After the animation I went back to Marvelous to do the cloth simulation. This process took me several WEEKS. Due to the many layers of fabric used, as well as the animation of the hand itself, I constantly encountered micro-errors in the simulation where fabrics would conflict and penetrate each other. It was a long but rewarding experience and I'm glad it's over)))
Final cloth simulation
Pyro simulation
I really wanted to do the animation along with the fire simulation, so that the final animation would look not like a card trick, but like magic. The most accessible tool for me was Pairo in Cinema 4D, but I never worked with it. The cached simulation was very large, and then I had to do a test render several times to fully evaluate the quality. This was the first time I worked with fire simulation, but I think the final result looks pretty good.
Stillshots
Thanks for watching!
I hope you liked my project and its story)
